Full office suite or just email
On 9 October 2026 Microsoft 365 Business Basic was $7 per user a month paid yearly, or $8.40 on a monthly subscription, and includes a 100 GB mailbox plus the web and mobile Office apps. Zoho Mail Lite started at US$1 per user a month (5 GB, annual billing only), and Mail Premium was US$4.
Zoho also has a Forever Free plan for up to 5 users with 5 GB each, but it has no IMAP, POP or ActiveSync and is only available in some data centers. If you only need email on your own domain, Zoho is far cheaper. If your team needs Word, Excel and Teams, compare Zoho Workplace Standard (US$3 yearly, US$4 monthly) with Microsoft's Basic and Standard plans.
