The annual saving is a first-year offer
On 9 October 2026 WP Engine's Essential plan cost $35, $65, $130 or $330 a month billed monthly for 1, 3, 10 or 30 sites. Paying annually brings that to $336, $624, $1,248 or $3,168 for the year, which works out at $28 to $264 a month. WP Engine labels this first-year pricing for new customers on Essential plans only, and says "Product renewal pricing subject to change", so the renewal price is not stated. The Core plan starts at $400 a month and is sold through sales.
Each Essential tier comes with a visit allowance: 25,000, 75,000, 100,000 or 400,000 visits a month, with 10 GB to 50 GB of storage; the comparison table lists 75 GB of bandwidth for Essential. WP Engine calls these numbers "estimates only" and notes that "taxes and overages may apply during checkout", but the plans page does not list overage rates. Staging, automatic backups and auto-renewing SSL are included on every plan.
