Alfie’s Guide
How we review website builders
Plan limits and fees are captured from public pricing and help pages on a stated date. Hands-on notes appear only where a test run is recorded.
What we capture
Plans and prices per term, which plan unlocks a custom domain, storage and bandwidth, page and product limits, online-store features and transaction fees on top of the payment processor, template counts, AI site-builder features, SEO controls, whether the site can be exported, and what the free plan shows (ads or branding).
Hands-on notes
Where we have built a demo site on a builder, the review is labeled Tested and says what we built and when. Export is tested separately, because whether you can take your site with you is the fact most often missing from marketing pages.
Limits
Builders change plans often. Every price and limit carries its capture date, and we re-check them on the refresh schedule on the main methodology page.
