Alfie’s Guide
How we review ai tools
Pricing is re-captured often because AI prices move quickly. Output-quality scores are shown only where a recorded test protocol exists.
What we capture
The kind of output (voice, text, video, image), credits and what a credit buys, credits per plan, free-plan limits, watermarks, commercial-use rights (quoted from the terms), whether the vendor trains on your data, supported languages, output formats, API availability and maximum file length.
Tests
Where we test output quality we use a fixed prompt or script set, record the settings, the credits used and the date, and score against a written rubric. The review says which protocol was used. We re-run it when the vendor announces a model change.
Limits
AI tool pricing and quality change quickly. Prices are re-captured more often than in other sections, and output-quality scores are shown only where a recorded test protocol exists.
