Unlimited free recording or a capped free plan
On 10 October 2026 Fathom's free plan listed unlimited recordings and transcriptions. Otter's free Basic plan allowed 300 minutes a month, with a 30-minute limit per conversation.
On paid plans, Otter is cheaper for one person billed annually: Otter Pro was $8.33 a month billed annually ($16.99 monthly) with 1,200 minutes a month, while Fathom Premium was $16 billed annually ($20 monthly) with unlimited transcription. For teams, Fathom Team was $15 per user a month billed annually ($19 monthly) with a 2-user minimum, against Otter Business at $19.99 billed annually.
